I don’t know much about 1/2 Southern North. Aside from it being a one-woman band from Greece, I can’t find much info.
What I do know is that the woman behind it all is known as IDVex and she specializes in a wide range of sound. Some of it, like today’s song “Whisper of the Sea” from her 2014 two-track single Lothron, is a throwback to the sounds of Ronnie James Dio in his artistic prime. Other songs take a more ambient turn, creating dark soundscapes around her vocals.
Her stuff is worth a listen, so check it out.
